The Big News
So my big news is that I've left Permuted Press and will be returning to self-publishing. All my books will now be available through my own imprint Laughing Crow Media. This was entirely my decision. I asked for my book rights back and they graciously agreed. I am deeply grateful that they didn't fight me on it.
It was an admittedly bumpy ride from the moment Jacob asked me to sign until the day I asked Anthony for my books back two and a half years later. I learned a lot for sure and met some great people along the way. The rest is unimportant now. All that matters is that I am once again in charge of my own destiny. I wish Permuted and the authors who continue on with them nothing but success and happiness. I hope we all end up together at the top of the best sellers list (again) one day.
I'm in the process of creating new covers and having the interiors redone right now. Permuted is pulling down the books today and I will be re-uploading them as they are rebranded in the coming days. I am also splitting the last Zombie Attack book into two; Curse of the Living and Army of the Dead. It is clear to me now that they were always two separate books and that the series focusing on Xander was a trilogy – just one of the benefits of having full creative control. If you've already purchased Army of the Dead there will be no need to pick up Curse of the Living. I am still working on Undead L.A. 2, which stalled out but should pick up steam now that the dust has settled. I want to finish my zombie run strong before moving on to my next horror series, as promised.
Thank you to my family, friends, and above all else the readers who have supported me and my writing. I’m excited about the next chapter of my life and can’t wait to share what comes next with you. It’s always scary taking a risk but I believe in my work and know everything will turn out for the best.
